However, the hours drop to around 30 hours if you are using it as stand alone pin-pointer. The manual says you can get 90 hours of use if you are using it with the Deus. I’ve been using mine for at least 3-4 hours over the period of 4-5 days and its still going strong. This pin-pointer is rechargeable and the battery lasts a long time before you need a charge. Its strong and sturdy and doesn’t go off as you apply pressure to the tip (you carrot owners know what I mean). But why? The XP MI-6 Has Many Great Features.įor starters, the MI-6 is waterproof and is built like a tank! When you put this thing in your hand it just feels tough. But truth bet told, I am a huge fan of the Deus and I’m finding out for myself that the XP MI-6 Pin-Pointer is probably one of the best pin-pointers out there on the market today. Luckily, I made the right decision to switch and my decision was not because I’m a Deus owner and I’m not affiliated with XP (the company) in any way so I don’t have any reason to promote any their products. Honestly, if Fort Bedford Metal Detectors wouldn’t have given me such a great deal on the MI-6, I probably would have purchased another carrot (Thanks Keith for the great deal!). ![]() Like many of you, I too was a Garrett Carrot fan and have gone through 3 of them before I decided to give the MI-6 a try. I think it made it’s debut sometime around April of 2017. The XP MI-6 Pin-Pointer has been around for a while now.
